Oh ofcourse A Doctor Who thread is always a good idea I'm kinda sad that this series has finished, but... I heard somewhere that they were bringing back the master [John Simm Is LOVE!] I really hope that's true 'cause I thought John's performance was brilliant! D:

Yeah. It was a shame such a good Master had to 'die' so early on.

Yeah. It was a shame such a good Master had to 'die' so early on. But did he? I was quite disappointed by the ending of that episode, actually. The light effects were brilliant, it was really well shot, but the Tinkerbell solution was quite cheesy... I can't wait for the new series, though. I wonder if Martha and Donna will get on? Kudos to Ms Tate if she does the whole of the series with the same wedding dress. xD

I'm looking forward to seeing a companion in the new series who, you know, doesn't fall in love with the Doctor...

Thank god!! somebody talking sense! I admit ye its the 21st century and everythings a bit more 'sexed' up now, by does everybody have to fall in love with him, or if they're not in love with him he's in love with them . .. . this would never have happened in Sylvester McCoys day!!!

Heck no! Makes me wonder how different the series could have been if the Doctor following on from Paul McGann had been played by someone older... No lovey dovey stuff then eh?

Ye, i dont think McGann got a proper run at it, i wouldve liked to have seen where he could have taken it! Although he would have been another one of those 'sex appeal' types. And im not sure if age makes too much of a difference . . . . I mean . . . . Sean Connery . . . .

Yeah he should have been able to have at least one series... I heard he wanted to go on but bloody RTD... LOL! (yeah I kind of don't have much time for him as far as DW goes). I don't really find Connery all that sexy, LOL! He's too old. I mean, someone like Alan Rickman, sure But... hehe! Nah. Someone grandfatherly, or just fatherly, would have been interesting as well - especially in Rose's case, as she lost her father - she could have seen the Doctor as a father figure instead. That I could handle But the lovey stuff, blergh... Or then there's the idea my b/f and I had, with Julian Rhind Tutt as the Doctor, and Jessica Stevenson and Martin Freeman as his companions
